Unified Talent Group is partnered with an established aerospace manufacturer, in search of a Supplier Development Specialist to support supplier performance management from a logistics and operations perspective. This role focuses on continuous improvement,
supplier development, and relationship management to ensure delivery, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.
This role is 100% remote, and the employee must live on the west coast (California is ideal).
Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement activities at supplier sites to support delivery, quality, and cost goals
- Review supplier manufacturing and special processes to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities
- Support sourcing decisions through cost, capacity, and risk assessments
- Act as program lead for supplier transitions and capacity readiness activities
- Engage underperforming suppliers to identify root causes and manage corrective action plans
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure contractual requirements are met
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including supplier management in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Six Sigma experience preferred
- Strong communication, project management, and supplier relationship skills
- Proficiency with standard engineering and office software tools
