Unified Talent Group is partnered with an industry leading manufacturing company in the Wichita KS area, in search of a Staff Accountant to support its accounting department. This position will handle general accounting responsibilities, manage weekly payroll with oversight from the Assistant Controller, and provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete general ledger entries and account
- Research and resolve financial
- Assist with month-end closing
- Prepare accounting reports for
- Support internal and external audit
- Process weekly and supplemental
- Prepare monthly payroll journal entries and payroll
- Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting
- Follow established internal controls and protect confidential financial
- Research accounting policies and respond to questions from internal departments.
- Participate in monthly physical inventory
- Complete special projects and financial analyses as
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- At least two years of general accounting
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts
- Experience with UKG or Kronos is
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and
- Experience using accounting software and business
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet
