Plant Manager - Central Valley, CA

Unified Talent Group is partnered with a growing organization seeking a Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations across chemical production, assembly, and inventory functions. This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who thrives in hands-on operational environments and enjoys building strong teams, improving efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

The Plant Manager will serve as the operational leader of the facility, owning production performance, safety, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and on-the-floor leadership to ensure operational goals are met while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all plant operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and KPIs are consistently met
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cost control
  • Champion plant safety, including chemical handling, compatibility, remediation, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer and business demands
  • Lead, coach, and develop plant staff, including training programs, performance reviews, and workforce planning
  • Partner with HR to ensure appropriate staffing levels and strong employee performance
  • Manage overtime, labor utilization, and staffing plans to optimize productivity and control costs
  • Own the annual operating budget for the facility and manage expenses responsibly
  • Establish and maintain clear operating procedures, work instructions, and training documentation
  • Collaborate closely with safety leadership to implement hazard analyses, safety programs, and regulatory compliance initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Project Management, or equivalent experience
  • 7–10 years of experience in plant operations, manufacturing leadership, or a related environment
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable
  • Experience managing safety-critical operations, including exposure to chemical or regulated environments
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze data, and make sound operational decisions
