Manufacturing Engineer - Tulsa, OK

Unified Talent Group is partnered with a well-established manufacturing organization in Tulsa OK, seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to improve production processes, support daily operations, and lead engineering initiatives across assigned manufacturing areas. The ideal candidate combines hands-on manufacturing engineering experience with strong analytical, project management, communication, and continuous improvement skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop practical solutions to moderately complex manufacturing, planning, and scheduling challenges using sound engineering judgment
  • Support production teams by improving processes, reducing paperwork, and developing effective hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and other production aids
  • Serve as the manufacturing engineering project lead for assigned areas and provide technical guidance to cross-functional team members
  • Participate in rapid improvement events and lean manufacturing initiatives focused on reducing cycle time, material waste, and process inefficiencies
  • Review special product or customer requests for alignment with engineering principles, quality standards, specifications, and manufacturing capabilities
  • Coordinate with customers, engineers, and internal stakeholders to develop practical solutions that meet technical and operational requirements
  • Partner with design, production, and leadership teams to improve product manufacturability, tooling, workflow, and production methods
  • Develop tooling specifications and support tooling design activities as needed to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and repeatability
  • Work with suppliers to define equipment, material, and component requirements and evaluate proposed solutions against quality and performance standards
  • Estimate production time, staffing needs, and related costs to support planning, scheduling, and management decisions
  • Evaluate manufacturing methods and recommend improvements to worker efficiency, workstation layout, equipment placement, workflow, and resource utilization
  • Collaborate with management, engineering, quality, and production teams to align manufacturing capabilities with schedules and operational priorities

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, production processes, tooling, workflow design, and process improvement
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, rapid improvement events, waste reduction, and corrective action follow-through
  • Ability to analyze technical requirements, solve moderately complex problems, and make sound decisions with general direction
  • Experience developing or improving hand tools, jigs, fixtures, workstations, and manufacturing methods
  • Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, project coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard business software applications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 3–6 years of related manufacturing engineering, production engineering, or process improvement experience
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered
  • Experience supporting production operations in a regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and manufacturing documentation
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
