
Unified Talent Group is partnered with an industry leader in the Sidney/Piqua OH area, in search of a Human Resource Assistant. The HR Assistant will support day-to-day human resources operations and serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR needs. This role plays a key part in recruiting coordination, onboarding, HRIS data management, attendance tracking, payroll support, and employee engagement activities, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR-related questions and requests
- Coordinate and conduct candidate interviews
- Support pre-employment, pre-boarding, and onboarding processes
- Complete employment eligibility documentation, including I-9s and E-Verify
- Plan and facilitate in-person new hire orientation
- Maintain and update employee records within HRIS systems
- Process employee job changes, compensation updates, and status changes
- Assist with employee engagement activities and company events
- Maintain confidentiality of employees and organizational information
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of professional administrative experience; HR experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion
