
Unified Talent Group is supporting the search for a Financial Analyst in the Dayton OH area to join a growing global organization with a great reputation. This position plays a key role in supporting the U.S. finance team by providing accurate financial reporting, business analysis, and operational support that helps drive informed decision-making across the organization.
In this role, you will support month-end close activities, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements while partnering with operations, sales, purchasing, and leadership teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment where accuracy and continuous improvement are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and intercompany transactions.
- Maintain assigned general ledger accounts and ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
- Support the month-end close process while ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales, gross margin, and operational reports.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting for local leadership and the global finance team.
- Complete financial reporting schedules for submission to the parent company.
- Support the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Assist with cash flow reporting and working capital analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support internal audit activities.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Accounting or ERP systems.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Previous experience in accounting, financial analysis, or corporate finance.
- Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
- Positive, proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
