Unified Talent Group is supporting the search for a Director of Information Technology – Buffalo, NY to lead IT strategy, enterprise systems, and digital transformation initiatives within a growing organization. This role is responsible for optimizing technology infrastructure, driving system improvements, and aligning IT capabilities with business objectives.
In this role, you will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance systems, improve data visibility, and support operational efficiency through technology and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, and application strategy
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability across environments
- Oversee cybersecurity initiatives, policies, and compliance efforts
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, including system optimization and automation
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through technology and integration
- Support development and execution of IT strategy, budgets, and forecasting
- Partner with business leaders to translate operational needs into system solutions
- Improve data governance, accessibility, and reporting capabilities
- Lead and develop IT teams while managing external vendors and partners
Technical Skills
- Experience managing enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with system integration, automation, and digital transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with data management, reporting tools, and analytics platforms
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, including AI and advanced analytics preferred
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in IT leadership, systems management, or digital transformation
- Experience managing enterprise systems and cross-functional initiatives
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environments preferred
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
