
An innovative, technology-driven agriculture company is seeking an Agronomy Sales Representative to support business development and customer success across specialty crop markets. This role is responsible for building strong grower relationships, delivering tailored crop nutrition solutions, and driving revenue growth through a data-driven, service-based model.
In this role, you will collaborate with agronomy, operations, and technical teams to design and implement field-level nutrition programs, optimize crop performance, and expand market presence. This position requires a consultative sales approach, strong field engagement, and the ability to translate agronomic insights into measurable value for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with growers to understand operational needs and deliver customized agronomy solutions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, outreach, and market research
- Build and maintain a structured sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and goal tracking
- Deliver field-specific recommendations related to crop nutrition, fertigation, and water treatment programs
- Collaborate with internal agronomy and operations teams to ensure successful program execution and customer outcomes
- Represent the company at industry events, field days, and customer meetings
- Continuously develop agronomic knowledge and stay informed on industry trends and best practices
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, accountability, and ethical standards in all interactions
Technical Skills
- Strong relationship-building and consultative sales skills
- Ability to interpret agronomic data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Effective communication, organization, and territory management capabilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in both office and field environments
- Comfort working in outdoor agricultural settings and traveling within assigned territory
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in agronomy, agricultural sales, or a related field required
- Experience working directly with growers or within specialty crop markets preferred
- Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) or similar certification is a plus
- Knowledge of fertilizer programs, crop nutrition, or irrigation systems preferred
