Classified Security Officer - Tulsa, OK

Unified Talent Group is partnered with a well-established manufacturing company in Tulsa, OK, in search of an experienced Classified Security Officer to lead security operations supporting classified government programs, personnel, facilities, and information systems.

The ideal candidate combines industrial security and cybersecurity expertise with strong leadership, communication, and compliance management skills. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for government security agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage security requirements for classified, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) environments
  • Oversee personnel security processes, including clearance initiation and maintenance, access requests, incident reporting, and continuous monitoring
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, facility security plans, security documentation, and compliance checklists
  • Conduct security training, briefings, and debriefings for cleared personnel while educating non-cleared employees on applicable security requirements
  • Manage the accountability, storage, transmission, inventory, and destruction of classified documents and materials
  • Manage access controls, visitor authorizations, and compliance requirements for classified work areas
  • Oversee Risk Management Framework accreditation, system security
  • documentation, control implementation, and continuous monitoring for classified information systems
  • Coordinate with IT and system owners to ensure cybersecurity controls are properly implemented, tested, documented, and maintained
  • Manage security audits, vulnerability mitigation, incident response activities, and Plan of Action and Milestones tracking
  • Lead investigations involving security incidents and ensure timely reporting, documentation, corrective action, and follow-up
  • Partner with Contracts, Legal, Facilities, Human Resources, IT, Program Management, Operations, and Business Development to incorporate security requirements into daily operations

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Advanced knowledge of Risk Management Framework requirements, and applicable Department of Defense security policies
  • Strong understanding of SCI and SAP security directives, including applicable SAP security manuals
  • Experience developing System Security Plans, control traceability documentation, continuous monitoring artifacts, and Plans of Action and Milestones
  • Knowledge of NIST, CNSSI, DoD information assurance policies, security technical implementation guides, and vulnerability management processes
  • Familiarity with security auditing tools, STIGs, eMASS, system assessments, and authorization processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, leadership, customers, vendors, and government agencies
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Ability to train, mentor, and transfer technical knowledge to less-experienced security professionals

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education, professional training, and experience may be considered
  • 5–10+ years of experience in industrial security, cybersecurity, or combined CSSO, ISSM, or ISSO roles supporting classified programs
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment and interacting with DCSA or other government security agencies
  • Experience supporting classified, SCI, or SAP programs and secured facilities
  • 3–5+ years of program leadership or supervisory experience within a classified security environment
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required, with SAP and polygraph eligibility
  • CISSP, Security+, or another applicable DoD 8570/8140-compliant certification strongly preferred
